The Television Critics Association Awards were presented Saturday night, and it was a big year for Glee. The breakout hit won three awards, including Program of the Year, Outstanding New Program and Individual Achievement in Comedy – the latter for the ever-awesome Jane Lynch, for her work as Sue Sylvester.
Modern Family Won Outstanding Achievement in Comedy, while there was a rare tie in the Outstanding Achievement in Drama category – with both Breaking Bad and Lost taking home the honor.Lost co-creator Damon Lindelof gave a very funny speech, in which he read from responses on Twitter he'd gotten from those who absolutely hated the polarizing Lost finale.
Also in the "great speech" category was Tom Hanks, who accepted for his HBO miniseries, The Pacific - hearing Hanks drop an F-bomb or two (as Lindelof did) was certainly an amusing highlight. The latest news from http://www.dvdorderonline.com/articles/news-1806-Lost-Glee-Win-TV-Critics-Awards.html
